Cordless/ DECT Telephones

Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephony or DECT simply means analogue cordless telephone that has digital speech quality. DECT telephone’s use analogue ports, which means they are ideal for home and business use.

Cordless telephones have lots of different features. Some DECT phones have answering machines and SIM card Readers which allows you to download all your contacts from your mobile phone into your DECT Phone. They all tend to have an LCD and you can typically store lots of numbers. They come with a 50 meter range which means you can move away from the base up to 50 meters and still get clear conversation. DECT allows you to have up to 6 handsets so you can have the main base unit and 5 additional handsets registered. The flexibility dect handset give you means they can be used in many different locations, warehouse, stores, office home, shop etc.

This is great for home or small office use as instead of having to have a number of different telephone extensions dotted around you only need one also not the cost of a system telephone switch. The main base unit simply plugs into the BT analogue port and you will require a power output to charge this main unit feeds the additional handsets.

The additional units plug in via a charging pod and simply need an electrical plug socket so you can have them in a number of areas. You can also transfer a call from one handset to another however you can only be on 1 call externally at any time. They come in different pack sizes and you can purchase a single unit, twin pack, triple or Quad.
